Can not get the autopilot to follow GPS in v4

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have read so many topics on this and have messed around with it for hours and I can not get the autopilot in the Alabeo 207 to follow the GPS course. I have run all the configurations and andreinstalled multiple times I am kind of at a loss here right now.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Gary

The CDI is working properly the only issue is the autopilot NAV will not follow. The 530 unit is in GPS mode as well. If i switch to VLOC mode then back to GPS I get about a 10 degree bank to the right for a second or two then back to wings level

Hello GWC123,

I posted a similar snag like yours last week; i.e my topic "Autopilot in Nav mode won't track a GPS course". I uninstall/reinstall FS9 then did some test trying to toggle master device off, select accept. Reload, then select Master device on, select accept. Still, GNS won't follow the GPS course.

Yeah I have read through your post more times than I would like to admit lol. This is driving me crazy. It has to be something small, but I can not figure it out. I have done multiple re-installs of both the plane and the RXP430/530

Eventually, this can be sorted out.

Some members and Jean-Luc have helped me a lot lately. Stay tuned to your post, likely you'll get good advice from the pros and you can carry on from there.

Hi,

First things first: please do check the RXP log files for any possible information (see User's Manual for file/path).

Like gillesbdx says, a failing A/P is most likely related to sim1.dll (considering all your GNS settings are correct, i.e. link A/P etc...).

However, please also note the A/P coupling won't work with the latest P3D4.just released a few days ago, we are working on the update for it.

I am having the same problem in Legacy FSX/Acceleration. Reality GPS530 will not connect to the Autopilot. If I manually fly the aircraft all instrument and GPS indications are working fine. Just won't hook up to the autopilot. I even uninstalled FSX and did a fresh install with the same problem so I know it is not the SIM1.dll file. Must be a bug in the program that is not allowing the GPS to link up to the Autopilot. Also with in the INI file the CDI key to NAV/GPS switch if true the NAV\GPS will only switch to GPS and when switched to NAV returns to GPS not allowing it to go to NAV.

Hi and sorry for the delay, we've just released v2.3.10 which fixes A/P coupling.
