MegaSenery Version 2?

Featured Replies

Hi All,I've owned MegaSenery Northern and Southern California "full versions" for quite some time now, although they are not currently installed in my Flight Sim. They weren't cheap when I originally purchased them (close to $40.00 each as I recall). Now I notice they're selling these programs in a "Version 2" form. So I guess that means I would have to shell out another $40.00 bucks to get updated to the current versions. I couldn't find anything at their site that offers any kind of discount to current MegaScenery owners.I noticed theyr'e trying to unload the original Southern California MegaScenery at their site for $4.95 (originally $29.95) My question is: Can anybody tell me if version 2 is substantially better than the original versions? Also I'd really like to know how many folks are using MegaScenery and if anyone knows of a MegaScenery Forum anywhere.Unless the MegaScenery Version 2 represents a significant improvement it seems like a pretty expensive upgrade.Kindest Regards

It is world's better. Much higher res than the original.

Thanks everyone for your responses and for answering my questions. I'll use these links for my upgrades.flyking

Load times are much better and the scenery is displayed in greater detail then that of Version 1. The sceneries also come with the MEGA CITY enhancements as well!

With FSX just on the horizon and better than 1m per pixel resolution almost certainly being available, you might want to hold off, but then again it might take a while for the PC Aviator guys to catch up with the new high res stuff as it might mean having to start from scratch again...Just something to consider... If I were you I'd ask some questions of the addon developer, to see if you stand to lose money on a double upgrade...
