P3D V4.2 Intermittent Pauses.

Hi. I seem to recall seeing this topic somewhere in the forums but can't seem to find it. I have just updated to P3D v4.2 (client only) and all seems ok except for regular pauses of about 1 second during operation. The sim runs smooth except for these regular pauses. Do any other users experince this? This occurs when using any aircraft. I have UT live loading when my sim starts up. That's the only addon that starts up when my sim initializes...

Peter the obvious question is , have you tried without UT live ???

Haven't tried yet..have gone back to v4.1..(maybe me being lazy!). But i found the menu would not respond correctly (clicking on the menu would cause it to disappear) and panning around with the external view was full of stutters....i don't have any camera addons. Only addon is UTLive....

Make sure you're not on the latest version of FSUIPC (if you use FSUIPC) as it causes exactly that. Use 5.122 or something (can't remember the correct version right now).

If you have FSUIPC set to save your flight at a certain time like every 5 minutes, the sim may pause for a second while it saves.

Hi..thanks for all the replies...yes, I use FSUIPC but only the unregistered version for PF3 purposes...strangely enough in v4.2 it is not listed under my addons...can this also be the cause of the panning and menu issiues??

Registered or not doesn't make a difference. If it's being loaded and if it's the latest version, it will cause pauses every ~3 seconds. I haven't heard of any issues with panning/menus.

I had the same issue when first installing 4.2. I had pauses every nine seconds. I was using FSUIPC v5.123c. I changed to v5.122 and that stopped the pauses.

Thanks guys for the replies..will try again as you suggest and revert back to the previous version of FSUIPC..it's a great addon but a pity that certain 3rd party developers (PF3, etc) require us to install it to make their software work..i only use it for PF3..
