P3D V4.2 and Orbx Germany (N/S)

Featured Replies

I recently installed P3D v4.2.  Fresh install.  After loading orbx global, RE LC and Germany N/S, I can no longer get consistent fps while engaged in vsync, the flights are no longer fluid, put a stuttering mess, with 1-2 second pauses.  Does anyone have similar experience?

I removed fsuipc from the modules folder and the stutters were gone.

I don't have fsuipc.  I remove GER N/S and just keep Europe LC and the stutters and pauses disappear.  I had the same experience in V4.1 but with SOCAL.  I ended up just removing it.  Now it appears Ger N/S does the same thing in V4.2.   Perhaps this orbx scenery does not play well with P3D V4.2

OR.. perhaps this scenery is overloading your system, with the settings you are using..

maybe dial back on autogen, lod radius, etc until it all stabilizes

Bert

A pretty good means to see of the system is overloaded is monitoring load on core 0. It's always high in Prepar3d, and by design, and if it's between 90 - 95 % that's pretty okay, even short jumps to 100 % are admitted. However, if it's at 100 % for extended periods, you will have to dial down your settings indeed, as Bert states.

Kind regards, Michael
