I opened a ticket and they got back to me with a good solution. The low FPS is caused by TrueGlass and Real Light. First, go to the Load Manager (open in admin mode), set your Real Light texture to Low. Then Load up the airplane in P3D, on the menu bar select Addons->TrueGlass->Disable TrueGlass. I was getting 3-7FPS, now I am getting 30FPS stable!

Where in the LM do you set those settings? Having the same issue

as he stated: after loading a flight in p3d go to the "addons" option in the menu bar, then in the "TrueGlass" option choose "Disable TrueGlass". Restart p3d andload the maddog to see if it makes any difference.

Looks to me like they are referring to the setting in the load manager for Real light. I don't see this either, and am also experiencing really low performance. I didn't used to, this used to be one of the best performing aircraft, so something seems to have changed.

Please try clearing your P3D Shaders, that should do it.

Realight and Trueglass were removed from the Maddogx.

Best wishes.
