March 24, 20188 yr Does anyone know if PMDG will ever develop a Lockheed L-1049 flight sim? That’s my favorite plane to fly on flight sim, the FX9 is getting outdated and would love to see it available to purchase on PMDG.
March 24, 20188 yr Are you aware that A2A Simulations have released a detailed version of this aircraft? Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester

No one here or anywhere else, besides PMDG know the answer to that question. Probably unlikely, but you never know. PMDG does have a forum on Avsim in case you didn’t know. In the mean time, the offering from A2A would probably be your best bet. I don’t have it but A2A is a great company as well and pu ou lots of top notch airplanes as well. March 25, 20188 yr A2A did the L-049 with accusim. I bought it soon after it came out, and have been extremely impressed with it since. It's not the L-1049, but if you want to fly a Connie realistically, it can't be beat.

Would be very surprised if PMDG develop this unless the sales level of their DC-6B suggest a strong demand for another large piston engined airliner. A lot of people felt that A2A might follow on from their L-049 by developing the L-1049, but they have pretty well stated, over on their forum, that they will not be doing this essentially because in their view the L-1049 differs so much from the L-049 that it would be like developing a completely new aircraft from scratch. Seems like the only options left for 1049 (and 1649) fans are the very good freeware products from Manfred Jahn or the payware Just Flight 1049 which comes with a lot of variants and liveries but leaves a bit to be desired in terms of systems etc. Truly we have been spoiled by the A2A 049! March 26, 20188 yr Ah, so the OP is referring specifically to the Super Constellation? I was not aware of the slight difference in designation between the two.
