Then, something else is wrong other than having MS Office 64 installed?  The raaspro.dll was updated you know.  FSCrew has updates in their raaspro forum for the one installed via PMDG aircraft.  Do not think PMDG updates this file.  I have the full version.

Best regards,

Jim

Well, so far I haven't noticed any issues with RAASPRO part removed from the file and I keep RAAS option disabled in PMDG777. I wonder if I turn that option back to ON, will it cause the same issue or I just keep it Off and just reinstall RAAS from FS2Crew and use it as separate program? But I fear to make RAAS working even with FS2Crew program I will still have to enable that option in 777?..:huh:

It's not required.  More eye-candy but I have not seen where it takes up any added resources.  Still it is not required for the PMDG 777 to run.

I found this in FS2Crew forum:

If you want to disable RAAS, all you need to do is open the DLL.XML for Prepar 3D with Notepad.

Find this section:

 <Launch.Addon>
    <Name>RAASPRO</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <Path>.\RAASPRO\RAASPRO.dll</Path>
    <DllStartName>module_init</DllStartName>
    <DllStopName>module_deinit</DllStopName>
  </Launch.Addon>

You can either delete the whole section or set "Disabled" to True.

--------------

I think I will just disable RAAS.

Thanks

I expect you'll need to download and run the installer I linked to. I found this on the TFDi site for their 717 - I believe it has the same dependency and same issues.

Cheers!

HI Luke.

I think I confused myself as I always do. I though that  link was to download Offic 64-bit and I did. Looks to me the link is for Microsoft  Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable which is needed to be installed in addition to Offic-64, correct?

Thanks

Jim, Luke.

Installing Microsoft  Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable 64-bit seemed did the trick. I am coming to a conclusion that the combination of Skype and Office re-installation (to 32-bit and then back 64-bit) made a damage and RAAS sensed it and screwed up dll file or whatever it did. I think everything is back to order now and up and running. I keep testing P3D to make sure no other issues are left behind.

Thanks you all very much.

It is why it is so difficult to diagnose a CTD.  Thanks for Luke in finding the probable cause and solution.  At least I was able to get you to find the RAASPRO module was causing the crash.  The fix was a whole lot more difficult.
