I managed to break my FSX.CFG file

Featured Replies

Hi,

I managed to break my FSX.CFG file. Please help!

The problem is that FSX does not load any liveries for aircraft (Just 1 default livery - Excluding the Aerosoft A320/A321). For example: TFDi Design 717 (Just TFDi Design House livery), Carenado SAAB 340B (Just plain white liverys), etc.

The liveries are in the folder, including custom ones and the code for loading the livery is in the Aircraft.CFG file in each aircraft.

Please help!

Thanks

TrainNutter.

Why are you thinking that you broke the FSX.cfg file?  Do you have all of these boxes marked on your Select Aircraft page?

This is all very unclear to say the least!

However the first thing to consider when any problem occurs is whether you have made any changes to FSX since the last time it was working properly? For example have you added any tweaks (always best avoided) or were you playing around with the FSX.cfg file or something else within FSX?

err  why  not   save  your  current  cfg  some  where  than  just    delete   the  one  you got  now   and  let  fsx  build  another  one

It doesn't sound like an fsx.cfg error to me.

if its not  than its just as  simple  to  replace  the  cfg  he  has  saved  back in again if  it  doesnt  work, most likely its  not  but  least  its  a quick  and  simple  test

True, true... it is something I would also check.
