May 9, 20188 yr This is a reminder to all. I recently converted from FSX to P3Dv4 because of program failures when using more complex aircraft like PMDG (out of memory errors). I found out I could not just reload FSX PMDG A/C but had to re-purchase at full price. Everything went OK until I came to the PMDG 600/700 version. I opened the P3Dv4 web page and assumed the download would be P3Dv4 files. I was undoubtedly careless and did not carefully read the directions so I downloaded the FSX version assuming it was P3D. As yet PMDG has not offered to replace. The purpose of this listing is to remind us all to be careful and read the directions. Just because you opened the P3D version of the PMDG web page does not Guarantee the file you download is a P3d version. My mistake!

The store cart page requires you to hand type the word "yes" into a box that asks you to confirm you are purchasing the FSX or P3D version. In order to purchase one or the other, you had to look at this box and type YES. That's not mentioning the yellow versus green coloration in the image, and the word FSX versus P3D plastered all over the page. As far as us not offering to exchange a product, we're usually pretty lenient unless it's been activated, which would require you to open up the sim you purchased the product for, so it's literally impossible to buy the FSX version, install it, open up P3D and activate it accidentally (you wouldn't be able to select an FSX aircraft in P3D, which would mean you wouldn't be able to activate it). With that in mind, it seems like you're perhaps not giving people the whole story. Moreover, the idea that we'd randomly link to a different store page is a bit deceptive. Please provide the link that is broken that led you to the wrong page. If this cannot be provided, then I think the issue is not that the server randomly drops you into the wrong area, and actually that you clicked without concentrating on what you were doing. May 9, 20188 yr Author You are right, I made a stupid mistake. The link was not broken I just assumed and read it incorrectly. I have contacted precisionmanuals.com ORDERID: 422808. but as yet not heard anything. If PMDG is kind enough to allow me to download the P3Dv4 version I will be grateful. My point is reminding people there are two versions and don't go to sleep while doing the install!
