FSL A320 strange MAX FL numbers

Good morning,

Finally was able to start using FSL A320 again to my great pleasure. A few things however make me curious and it's very strange MAX FL numbers for relatively average ZFW/GW figures. In my understanding FSL should easily reach FL390. The screenshot was taken today during LDDU-EDDF flight

Would appreciate your help

PS. I posted the same topic on FSL Support forum as their ticketing system is down and I really hope that AVSIM folks will respond faster and in rather in-depth manner.

Of course it depends on both the amount of fuel/passengers and the distance being flown. The shorter the route and the more payload, the less flight-level can be reached.

ZFW figure is shown on the screenshot I attached. It's a way below maximum allowable ZFW and FL390 should be easily reachable

I am just guessing, but it looks to me like the MCDU is using the ZFW input in Kg instead of lbs when calculating the flight levels.  Try changing the units to Kg and enter your weights in KG (2.2 * lbs) and see if the numbers make more sense.

The FSL 'bus was a basket case in its initial release version when it came to operating in British units...I just went ugly early and did everything in Kg.  I haven't gone back to using lbs again just yet, so I don't know if they actually got around to fixing those problems.

According to the QRH you should only expect FL390 in an A320 when below around 131000 LBS in < ISA +10 conditions.  From the weight in your screenshot FL360 is about right. The OPT FL it’s giving you is sort of strange though.

Problem solved - I used C&D panel state that I created myself for 258th version. Once I chose the pane state that comes with the plane MCDU numbers looks adequate.

Well the A320 service ceiling is FL390, you won't be noticing many cruising close to that altitude.
