Say, Ed, while you were there did you happen to hop over to St Bart’s for that challenging approach to RWY 10.

I did, and it took me three tries. The first time I clipped a tree or something, resulting in a crash. The second time I ran off the runway into the water, again resulting in a crash. The third time I remembered to flip down the reverse lock latch and greased it. 🤪

Haha, I did that mistake also ... left big long black skid marks down the runways as I locked up the tires.

Cheers, Rob.

Ha, LOL, why did you choose that approach?. I'm just scared to even try it!. Fortunately my SD360 run out of batteries before taking off.

Really that reverse T latch is kind of mistery, I discovered it just one day ago, it's really very well hidden itself.

Seems that Carenado missed an important item! The 360 landing gear is fully anti-skid protected which means you have to activate the anti-skid by yourself with an assigned key or key combo.

This will make landing at St.Barts etc. easier...and more realistic as well 🙂

I use anti-skid on all aircraft, even GA planes since you do have the feedback IRL when the wheels are starting to lock up and you don't have this feedback in any non-motion sim.

If you have a good AI-traffic program, try to park your plane on any of the west side parkings at TNCM (as close as possible to RWY 10), stay there with the air conditioning ON and just watch the activity of AI planes taxiing, departing and if you're lucky enough, arriving to this magnificent airport. I have UTLive and it's very fun for that.

If you're running P3D, just control+shift+E and move into Avatar mode. Then you can stand at the fence and feel the jet blast!
