No initialisation on 737 or 777 in p3dv4

Recommended Posts

After loading an aircraft in p3dv4, either 737 or 777, the virtual cockpit displays but is not initialised, i.e. no buttons are changeable

What is your default scenario?  Whatever is spinning around in the little window when you start P3D and the Setup Scenario screen appears.  Should not be a PMDG or other complex aircraft.

What P3D version? What NGX/777 versions?

I just spent days trying to get the cockpit initialized on a P3D 737NGX re-install. Problem is solved and I hope this may help someone else. I'm running P3dV4.3.2.9.25520 with the 737 version 1.20.8413 on 64-bit Windows 7. The problem seems to be with the update immediately after the 737NGX install. If I run the update nothing works. If I skip the update everything is fine and back to normal. Strange things these computers...........................Douglas Robbins

I believe 99.99% you gave an old simoconnect version installed. The latest versions need simconnect 4.3.0.0 to work and what we see is that many users have 4.1.0.0 despite being on the latest P3D version. This according to LM is due to improper client installation. Uninstall P3D client and reinstall the 4.3 client and the correct simconnect version should be installed and planes works ok. If not please open a ticket with us and will investigate further.

Also real names, first and last in the forum please.

The simconnect version is 10.0.61637.0 (FSX-SP2-XPACK). I've never installed or re-installed the Client by itself...always the full sim. My full name is in the last line of my earlier post...same as here.............Douglas Robbins

That is not a p3d simconnect. Please open a ticket and will provide instructions there to sent specific logs

Well, it may be the wrong one but that's what's in the P3D redist folder. You can close this out now. P3D is working. The 737NGX is working. And that's good enough for me......................Douglas Robbins

Thanks guys, uninstalling the client and reinstalling it did the trick. Make sure you have your p3dv4 license and password handy as you will have to reactivate them
