Sure but since  " realistic" is subjective  I just wanted to know what in your opinion  "realistic settings" is.

I tend to keep autogen normal, no dynamic vegetation, etc.  I've been happy with the performance since I started using P3Dv4.  The deteriorating texture load only started a few days ago, but I hope to solve it with the recommendations I've received.  I can't pinpoint why it started so suddenly without me making prior changes.

You did not say.. are you using GSX?  If so, there is a fix.

I am using GSX.  The last time I used “live update” was two days ago.

Hi Bert, now that I think about it, my texture deterioration began after buying the GSX expansion.  What are the details on the fix?

Run LiveUpdate again.

Problem solved!  I turned on v-sync with triple buffering (which also bumped up FPS) and ran the FSDT Live Update.  Below is an arrival video showing crisp textures at the end of the flight.

I think you fixed it alright but,,,,,,,,, you're leaking oil with smoke coming out the tailpipe, man.
