A little mad here.  Bought 747-8, tried installing it and see I need the updated 747-400 base package?

OK I have all product keys saved.  I see no way to un-install it.  Any guidance?  Be specific  please - I am not too computer savvy.

 

I have version 3.00.8466  is that not good enough?  I see 3.00.9008 is available

Try using the Add- and Remove Programs in Windows. Depending on what Windows version you have, you can try opening up the Start-menu and typing "Add remove programs" and see if it turns up 🙂

Another way, would probably be try launching the installer you used to install the base package with. I haven't tried this, but there maybe an option to uninstall it from there?

as   Anders has  said  above   in the  add/  remove  option  via   control panel  or  just  run the installer  again   and  select  uninstall

This was actually quite clearly posted in the forum yesterday before we even released the plane. If you missed it there, it was also in the OC. If you missed it there, it was also in a reader file in the installer. So, to be honest, the frustration was self-induced.

I know you post regulars that you’re not the best with computers, but if you know that, then it seems logical to slow down, double check, and be extra careful to look around for guidance. Sure, posting is guidance, but by now, I think you know that we post important info like this whenever new products go out:
