I prefer programs that don't start with the sim as it complicates start-up issue troubleshooting. For P3d, you can disable the UT Live addon.xml simply by making a copy of it and deleting the original. Then create a simobjects.cfg entry pointing to where your UTL aircraft are. Lastly, create a shortcut on your desktop to your utl_client.exe. Super easy and only takes a minute. Edited September 25, 20187 yr by Dave_YVR i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024

Thank you for the quick response, and the method to operate it manually. I've been slow to buy an AI program, but I think UTL would work well for me. Curt Branch

There is a lot out there because of the dedicated re painters and the models are great. It's a little time consuming but you have total control over your ai and can add new liveries and airlines when they are available. There is also a great face book group that will give you lots of help. I have currently installed about 600 airline packages which is a lot but some people have way more. It really depends on what your pc can handle. The only problem I have is that most of the planes show up in the game but they don't go anywhere and just disappear and reappear randomly but that's another topic. Could you tell me which freeware AI models you use and from where you get the flightplans? I recently uninstalled MyTraffic6 because I found it too harsh on performance and now installed some models from FLAi (flightplans are from unitedtrafficteam.com). With AIFP3 I associated the FLAi models to the downloaded FPs and compiled the BGLs, AI shows up but somehow acts strange. They do not seem to follow payware airport taxiways and they always land short in front of the runway or sometimes approach at like 0 ft AGL. Checked for duplicate AFCADs but there are none. Only tested at a single airport (using VOXATC) for now but this really bugs me. Edited September 28, 20187 yr by armchair_pilot
