September 27, 20187 yr I always assumed that the Boeing 747-8 had taxi cameras like the Boeing 777-300ER. Is this the case? I haven't been able to find it with the PMDG 747-8 so I'm thinking this was very likely my misunderstanding. I'm surprised that Boeing didn't offer it, being that this is such a large, and very long, airplane. In any case, I'm up to the challenge of learning to taxi this beast without the aid of one if need be 😉 Joel Matey: I7 7700k @4.6 I 16GB Ram I Geforce 1080 I 500 GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD I Hitachi 2 TB standard drive I Windows 10.
September 27, 20187 yr Apparently Lufthansa has them. Don't know if it's a Boeing option or not, though. Tried to Google it, but only found the Lufthansa modification. https://www.lufthansa-technik.com/cockpit-modification Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. September 27, 20187 yr I saw a video the other day of the first Cargolux 748 Landing in Vienna, and the PIC said that sadly Boeing does not offer any outside cameras. Not sure if its true, but the guy with the white shirt and the cargolux badge said so. Good thing Chaseplane is a thing 😉 My 748's have taxicams Best regards,
September 27, 20187 yr Author Interesting. I was definitely surprised for it not to be on this plane. PMDG can you confirm this? Yea I love chaseplane but never thought about using it to help me taxi! Might have to give it a go if I start having too many problems with the mains cutting into the grass, but so far so good! Cameras is not standard equipment in the -8 indeed. It seems that Lufthansa like to do all sorts of modifications 🙂 Chris Makris PLEASE NOTE PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at http://forum.pmdg.com

I've had people write things, and I read them as something else far worse, so you're good. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off.
