Convert AIG/BGL traffic to UTL traffic

Recommended Posts

At the moment, is there anyway to convert Alpha India Group flight plans or existing BGL traffic files to custom Ultimate Traffic Live addon schedules?

which create bgl traffic files with known and the latest suggested / allocated liveries .... then what's the point, they are more recent with much higher quality liveries / models (or am I missing the point).

besides whatever, you need to delete conflicting schedules in UTL.

Maybe I read it wrong, but I think he wants to use aig flightplans in UTL. I don't have UTL, so don't know if it's possible.

Is there any particular reason why you would want to though? You can have bgl traffic working alongside UTL traffic without any problems. I only ask because the process is a bit of a pain assuming you already have the bgl traffic. The only real benefit you get is that the UTL traffic will fly routes (they aren't good or realistic routes, but they are routes).

Yes, you can do this.  As I recall, the information is in the UTL documentation.  I haven't looked at the documentation in a very long time as I no longer use UTL (I fly online and use FLAI, which does not contain traffic files).  In fact there was a recent post about this very thing here on AVSIM.

Best wishes.

That is exactly what I meant. I should’ve said AIG from the beginning, sorry for the confusion.

I read the documentation but unfortunately there is no instructions on how to convert AIG flight plans to UTL addon schedules.

There is no easy way that I know of.  The UTL PowerPack was supposed to offer a reasonably easier way to do that, but, who knows if it will ever materialize.   The AIG link posted above to their forum is a good resource and probably your best bet...

The only way I know of to do it would be view the bgl data in the SDK trafficboard or possibly even the ancient TTools apps, and then manually enter the model and schedule data into UTLive.  I know of no way to quickly or easily do it.

The tool is "UTL_FP" and can can convert the .txt traffic files from AIG or UTT in xml schedules for UTL.

There is only one small drawback, if an schedule of an airline already exists in UTL you have to use an "fake airline code" for the new schedule.

For example, if you make an new schedule from Lufthansa you have to give it a code DLHX instead of DLH. Only a minor thing as you will only see that fake ICAO airline code in UTL trafficboard, in the sim the AI flights have the right callouts.

to view a traffic file / plan .............visualizer.

i use it to possibly edit the files (eg remove flights not in my area), find liveries etc.

@Agovico261

so confused as to what ...... drop a "name" in your posts so we can further emphasise with you on what to do.

i recommend you ask F1 for a refund  ... as AIG is the best way if you are prepared to invest time "on the ground" as it seems you are to have an AI better than UTL

for now, cheers
