December 29, 20187 yr I used to enjoy the Realair SF260 in FSX , it was great, but this JRollon machine is at a whole different level. The way it captures the feel and character of a real aircraft is simply amazing, I’ve never experienced anything quite like it before in the years I’ve been simming. Like leinsters , I’m also surprised by the lack of attention this add on is getting, it’s an absolutely monumental product in the world of GA flight simulation. On their website JRollon and SimCoders say that they’ve put their heart and sole into developing this aircraft , and it shows, believe me, the thing is practically alive, for $45 it’s a bargain Edited December 29, 20187 yr by jon b 787 captain. December 29, 20187 yr Thanks for your feedback, good to hear/know. I'm keen to believe that is is a monumental product. However I'm so used to RealAir handdrawn, crystal clear and neat panels that I'm not hooked at all with JRollon SF-260 graphics. Another little detail regarding the yellow Belgian Air force livery which was my favourite. The eyes of the JRollon version is as if the shark was tired or going to sleep... whereas on the RealAir version it is aggressive. Tony, are you basing that on screenshots and YouTube clips you’ve seen? All I can say is that in the sim the SF260 has possibly the finest set of analogue instruments I’ve ever seen. I use a 40” screen in 4K and zoom right up on the primary instruments to make them life size and practice IFR flying ,they’re faultlessly smooth and clear. 787 captain. December 29, 20187 yr I had the RealAir version, which was great for its time. I don’t have this one yet but it’s sitting in my cart waiting for my wallet to replenish from holiday and travel spending. From what I can see, though, from vids, this one is indeed a notch above most other addons, including the RealAir version. (And faulting the eyes on a particular livery isn’t just rivet counting -which I’m not opposed to — it’s sort of like faulting a person because the penguin logo on his shirt isn’t as vivid as others you’ve seen.) December 29, 20187 yr Jon: yes you are right, (of course) I am basing on what I can see on YouTube and screenshots. Again, thanks for your feedback, I'll consider a purchase in due time (being new to XP i've quite invested already laterly). Griphos: no bashing of the developer intended of whatever of that sort, just a personal observation I wanted to voice. December 29, 20187 yr I have a lot of fun with the SF260. I had also the Realair for FSX but i din´t like the sterile VC. The XP version looks much better and is a real challenge because of REP. Regards Nils
