September 2, 200619 yr I am in the market for a 757 since PSS came out.LDS has given no info on their venture so I am inclined to go with one of these.I would appreciate any feedback form owners.ThanksAndy
September 2, 200619 yr IMHO, I'm waiting for the Captainsim. (all you CS bashers can start bashing now)The CS model looks great and has a few more features than the PSS. Although you could always get both! Just keep checking the forums for customers feedback.D. Fisher
September 2, 200619 yr Andy,I don't have the CS 757, but am on my 2nd PSS 757 flight (BOS-PBI) ... flew SAN-BOS yesterday. I think it is a fine piece of software and so far I am a very happy customer!!!!There are a few little issues which have been reported (see the PSS forum), but certainly no showstoppers. I fly with ASv6, RC4, FDC and Flight Keeper .. as well as my old standby moving map ... FSNav, on an "older" PC (2.5ghz P4 with 1GB ram, with Radeon 9700/128MB) and it runs fine for me. Flying down the east coast of the US at the moment, there is heavy cloud cover and I have the radar on, and am running 8-17 FPS ... whatever that really means ... looks fine to me really ... I don't count FPS because I would NEVER be happy ... hahahaha ... I just enjoy!!!! I use the stock MSFS scenery also, so I'm sure that makes life easier all around.FMC now includes a FIX page(YAY), and to the best of my knowledge CS has not published the "whatever they call it -- block maybe?" which has an FMC.PSS, in my experience, always publishes excellent software; always well supported (even though things take time and people vocally complain)and this 757 is another good example of their excellent software. If you have the LDS 767, where nearly everything is simulated, and assume that their "coming someday" 757 will be the same, AND if you really love the complexity and 99% systems fidelity, failures, etc. then you might be disappointed with PSS. If LDS is maximum complexity, then the PSS 757 (as well as the updated 777) are both medium ++ complexity. I love the complexity of the LDS software, but never use the failures (life has enough of that for me!!!) so I'm very happy with PSS, and actually elated to have a 757!!!!! I heartily recommend the new PSS 757!!!!!
September 3, 200619 yr I am not looking to bash anyones product.I would just like some feedback b4 I spend good money on software.I own a lot of commercial addons and I can be a bit fussy but overall I am in the middle of the pack when it comes too expectations.ThanksAndy
September 3, 200619 yr For now, I'd opt for neither. The PSS was just released and I am sure there will be some bugs to take care of. Additionally, I haven't seen any announcement for FSX compatibility, which makes it 6 weeks before release a little bit of a deal breaker for me.CS does not have any advanced programming or FMC, which is not an option for me either.Pat
September 3, 200619 yr Curious, "I am not looking to bash anyones product." huh? is there bashing in this topic? jeezPaul BenoitKAPV
September 3, 200619 yr Just go for the PSS 757 great systems and we pre-order customers had two updates and with the final release version it's great :-)As for FPS the best from all my payware :-) 24 fps locked :-)Stunning VC and 2d panel love the model too :-)+ great support12 different models of the 757-200 / 757-300 / 757 F / PW / RR84 liveries a real bargain :-)I fly only from 3d and just love it fully functional (the same and more as 2d :-lol) and with a great weather radar too :-)It's my favorite aircraft besides a certain 767 :-lolJust love it the best 757 around the virtual block :-)CS is for me history don't buy software ever from them sorry to say...Hence it left my HD already a real frame hog... September 3, 200619 yr Hi Andy... I'm sure the PSS is a fine plane, but after looking at some pics, the graphics looks to 'clean' for me. It almost has a synthetic plastic look to it. The CS 757 has a nicer more realistic weathered look. The current CS 757 is still a work in progress, but it's approaching compleation, with block F due out shortly. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a plane with better graphics, eye candy, animations and system completeness. To each their own, but I'm a big fan of the CS 757. I'd definatly check it out.
September 3, 200619 yr >Be smart, wait for Level-D Simulations to complete their>757.Yep that one I will buy without any hesitation but I think it will be for FSX and months away...So for now I fly the great PSS757 :-)Andr André

September 3, 200619 yr I caved in and purchased the CS, disappointed they have taken this long to release the different sets.I will buy the PSS once they release the liveries. I cant wait to fly around Europe with the callsign eurotrans in my trust yellow 757 freighter!I have not seen a screenshot of the VC, though, but the 2d panel looks absolutely amazing. I only fly in the VC
September 3, 200619 yr I have been very patiently waiting for the Level-D but having just read that its for FSX only I am extremely disapointed.Looks like PSS might get my money again...
September 4, 200619 yr This product is exrememly well done. Any bugs will be taken care of by these people. Nice selection of liveries come with it. Updates have already been produced so they are already taking care of bugs. As a long term customer I have nothing but the highest praise for this company. Dave
