July 24, 200619 yr I didn't know MiG was working on a vectored-thrust Mig-29!!Does it use liftjets like the old Yak-38, or does it use the 4-poster nozzles like the Harrier?I am going to search the net for info on the Mig29 OVT now that you mention it...It may never see production though. The Yak-41/141 never did, and it too demonstrated at Farnborough in '92.Rhett Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
July 24, 200619 yr Rhett:http://youtube.com/results?search=ovt&sear...s&search=SearchOVT upgrade along with avionics and combat systems is scheduled for most active MiGs in Russian AF.Cheers=S.V.=
July 25, 200619 yr No this is vectored thrust, not VSTOL in any way shape or form. It's the same kind of vectoring as on the SU-37 and the F22. But talk about raw power.....
July 25, 200619 yr The MS Booth lost power early on, so not much to show with blank screens.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
July 25, 200619 yr The B1B sure did look good over my house yesterday. That's the only report I have so far other than it is difficult to sleep in this week. Too much airplane noise. :)

Now I know why we are having rolling blackouts. Its those darn Beta testers cranking it up and shutting down power all over the country!! LOL

July 25, 200619 yr Ahhh. VECTORED thrust. Big difference. I would find it hard to believe that the entire Russian AF Mig-29 fleet would be converted to VSTOL. That would be like the USAF making all their F-15's VSTOL--impractical. But vectored thrust, I can see that...Rhett Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
