It seems FS is taking off nowadays in a big way. Here in UK Farnborough airshow is going to have a simulator pavillion for the first time in it's history, where you'll be able to get hands on some of the add-ons, as well as a go in an A320 simulator.

Please, please! don't forget to report your findings on night lights, if road traffic is worldwide, etc, etc and posting some pictures if possible. There's so much I would like to check out!!!.........Antecipated thanks!Dito

I hear that Dito. I'm hoping I even get to Farnborough as although my ticket is sorted my body has decided it's going to get a nasty bug, headache & backache, stuffy nose.... all symptoms of flu. Noooooo not now.

Noooooo not now.2 days is all you need. Take 1000 mg Vitamin C tablets every 10 minutes until you have to go to the bathroom. Thereafter, take one every hour until symptoms subside. It's not the most comfortable cure in the world, what with some pretty heinous diarreha, but it works. Make sure to drink plenty of nourishing fluids like juice, vegetable stock, or pedialyte. For the record, I'm not a doctor, but this quick cure has fixed many a vacation that could otherwise have become a disaster for me. Even still, it might be a good idea to read up on vitamin C megadosing (Google) before you try this, just to make sure it's something you're willing to do.Bottom line? I just want to see some new screens of areas/features we haven't seen yet. ;) Hope you feel better soon!

The good news is it didn't come to that, it's easing off quite rapidly now of it's own accord. Thanks for the tip though.

Sure, Scott Andersen will be manning the booth in the morning, and Hal will be there in the afternoon, both from ACES. You'll also see Roy McMillion, Justin Lamb, and Katy Pluta in the morning, and Jon Bach, Glenn Norman and Michelle Goodeve in the afternoon - all friends of the ACES team. If you're around Thursday - Sunday, stop by the booth in the afternoon, I'll be there. :)As far as learning any more, well, that will be up to you. It will be the first unrestricted look at FSX, so I would encourage you to explore, but be sure to be courteous to the next person in line. :)Best,Owen

Farnborough was AWESOME!!!! The Flight Simulator pavillion unfortunately lost their power, so they were dead in the water, but did get PMDG 747 down there for a tenner less than normal rate.Airshow was the dogs dangly bits though, the A380 put on a spectacular display as did the A340-600. Both proved that in spite of their size they are very nimble. We also had a pair of Dassault Falcons displayed as if they were fighter jets. Then the crowning plane of all for me was the Mig29 OVT, vectored thrust, boy did that put on a show. I'm not kidding guys it hovered, nose pointed up vertically and just hung there for about 30 seconds on it's own raw power. That thing really has to be seen to be believed.Credit to the Osprey pilot too, he put on a magnificent display of the OV22's capabilities as did the AH64D pilot. Then came the Blue Eagles, not to be outdone, four Gazelles and a Lynx, and if you ever see these guys do their display it's well worth watching. The Lynx does the most amazing backflip from stationary. The guy on the Flight Simulator pavillion said that MS were interested, but couldn't do it this year, but they are hoping to do it in 2 years time, and he reckons if they do it's likely not to be a tent but a full Chalet or hall or somesuch. Of course by then we may be previewing FSXI but hey, I'm already looking forward to Farnborough '08.
