VC Window Reflections.

Featured Replies

Can the virtual cockpit window reflections be turned off? Personally I find them a bit distracting when flying? Is this something hard-coded into the model, or perhaps is there a setting that I need to uncheck, or even edit in the .cfg file?

Me too... is there a way to turn them off?

You guys beg for realism, and when you get it, you want to 'turn it off'...Make up your minds.

Well, I guess if I did beg for realism I wouldn't be complaining. But considering I wasn't clamoring for it, you might need to retract your statement. I simply want to know how to remove the reflections. As in real life, window reflections aren't always as in your face as the ones in the game.(at least to me) Besides in some aftermarket add-ons that feature can be turned off if I am not mistaken. Now unless you can provide something useful for me.. I have no use for your worthless, useless, and utterly moronic comment. Thank you and bugger off!

"You guys beg for realism, and when you get it, you want to 'turn it off'..."Amazing isn't it. I would have never thought anyone would want VC reflections turned off...

Grow up! :)

So...does anybody on these forums have a useful answer? I hope I didn't damage the delicate sensibilities of the armchair captains by asking a question that needed just a simple answer.

As far as I'm aware, they are 'baked' into the model. If so, there likely is no way to 'turn them off.'As for me personally, the jury is still out on whether I 'like them' or not... ;)

Hmmm I guess you could alter the textures, not a hard thing to do I suppose. Daniel

Thank you for your response.

>You guys beg for realism, and when you get it, you want to>'turn it off'...>>Make up your minds.Do not confuse realism with mere existance of some feature. Many features in FS9/X are simply overdone. Realism often means something very subtle. That some feature was implemented doesn't automatically mean that if looks/feel realistically.Michael J.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/for...argo_hauler.gifhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg

Thank you, somebody else gets it.
