December 1, 20187 yr The falcon 50 has 3 flap positions, first being slats and 7 or slats deployed and 7 degrees of flaps. This is not accurate at this time, as the sim only has slats as first position. The other positions are correct. On the 50, first position is slats only, position 2 is slats + flaps 20, position 3 is slats + flaps 48. The sim model is correct. December 2, 20187 yr Author Ok I stand corrected. Never flew a 50, but typed in the 900. But it’s the same type rating. DA50. Thought they were the same. I’ll just go back to minding my own business....... Hi Daniel, Yep - as Al stated - please don’t let a little mistake stop you from posting - one of the reasons these products turn out so well is from all the audience participation... An open dialog with the developer is very rare today - and real world experience is certainly a very valuable asset and most welcome too... Regards, Scott Edited December 2, 20187 yr by scottb613

I’ll just go back to minding my own business....... An easy mistake to make. The flight deck of a non-EASy 900 is very similar to the 50. Aileron and rudder trim switches and emergency stab trim is identical, as is the air brake handle. Antiskid switch is the same, hydraulic gauges, pressurization triple indicator and crew/cabin temperature controller are all the same on the 50 and the 900 B,C and EX. The fuel system on the 900 is simpler to operate than the 50, with no main-to-feeder tank transfer switches, and the 900EX has autothrottles as standard equipment, although they can be retrofitted to the 50 under an STC from Safe Flight Inc. The 900 has one big ACM pack to supply both crew and cabin air conditioning. while the 50 has two smaller ones, split between cabin and flight deck. If you have actual piloting experience in the 900 your input here is always welcome, as flying techniques are very similar. The 900 is a direct outgrowth of the 50 Jim Barrett Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist.
