And?

What MB do you have? Also, 533DDR2 is way tooooooo stange choice for CD2 processor+mobo combo

Its a Dell so it would be a Dell branded motherboard. Why is 533mhz a bad choice? He won't be able to overclock a Dell and the bus runs at 266mhz266 x 2 = 533mhz perfect for 1:1 RAM / FSB ratioPlus, I don't think you get a choice for RAM speed at Dell anyway.Glenn

Mine is sitting on my desk, still in the plastic, waiting for my motherboard.

>What MB do you have?>Also, 533DDR2 is way tooooooo stange choice for CD2>processor+mobo comboI agree that the 533Mhz is a strange choice but it wasn't mine. Its getting replaced with 800Mhz memory as soon as I can afford it believe me. The 9200 mobo support 533, 667 and 800 as it states here:http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/syst...s.htm#wp1104326As FSX is endorsed by Intels Core 2 Duo I just wanted to see how many folks had purchased one already in anticipation - like me.Nels

375W PSU?!!!! Oh, holy ******* christ...Forget about 800DDR2. As soon as you can afford $150-200, you should go and buy new PSU that has at least has 500W. All new fancy videocards (especially ATI) require AT LEAST 400-450W.That's why I hate ready-to-use Dell and HP boxes. I'm currently building new PC by myself and as a first step, I purchased new PSU~780W ($178). Don't try to save on it or you'll lost the entire box eventually.

Very much looking forward to the final release.Nels

Which settings and FPS please share I'm curious because I have now a average 24 FPS with a AMD64 3700+ ;-)Because the remark superb performance don't say anything ;-)Andr

Thanks Neil and what about the slider settings, because thinking of a simulair processor but the E6600 instead of the E6700 or maybe wait for the price drop which is happening now in our country lol...Of course as a IT guy build by myself...Thanks,Andr

>>Superb performance, bearing in mind all the identified bugs,>averages above 30fps on default settings with autogen turned>off. Heck, I can get that fps in the demo with my 3700+ with those settings!I think once you get your Core 2 Duo and FSX install optimized, you'll see even higher average framerates...because you SHOULD be getting quite a bit better than my system...but you're not.RhettAMD 3700+ powered by Gerbil wheel + gerbil, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 gigs Corsair TWINX, blah blah, etc. etc.

>Superb performance, bearing in mind all the identified bugs,>averages above 30fps on default settings with autogen turned>off. Looks and feels stunning, as it should. Not a good sign as I get 30+ FPS in the demo with "default settings and autogen off" on my 4800+, 850XTPE 256, 2gig corsair. Hope you are saving again for when you upgrade when DX10 is out as you will need Vista and a new DX10 card (maybe even a new Mobo) if you want to get the most out of the sim. Superb performance is EVERY slider maxed, real weather, detailed, non default aircraft and 30+ FPS.Endorsing FSX doesn't mean anything special, just pushing their product.Glad you are enjoying the new rig, but you probably should have waited to upgradeRegards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/ambanner.jpg
