GTN 750 in VR (resolved)

Featured Replies

I'm sorry I've mislead you with the "not ending in .ini.txt" because it is not a file supposed to end with 'ini' !

The file name is (meaning the file extension is vr_mouse_enable, not ini, not txt etc...):
RealityXP.GTN.vr_mouse_enable

Removed the file extension and it now works perfect. VR is just getting better and better.

Thanks for the help

Thank you for your feedback, so far seems it is a winner.

I must be missing something simple here.  I have extracted the file with the correct name to my preferences folder and this does not work for me regardless of what plane I am using.  Is there something I am missing?

@FastFret2 have you disabled VR mouse or not?

VR Mouse is Disabled, When I return home today I will get you the log file.  There was some talk about an aircrafts ini file, is there some manipulation that needs to happen there for specific aircraft?

No specific manipulation needed, unless maybe you've disabled mouse in the rendering section, for example:

[GTN_750_1.PANELS]
; display window if true.
visible = false
; show screen only gauge if true.
nobezel = true
; display type: WINDOW,PANEL2D,PANEL3D,PANELS
frame.type = PANELS
; display position and dimension (left,top,width,height)
frame.rect = 0,0,0,0
; screen only border size (pixels).
border.size = 0
; screen only border color (#RGB or #RGBA).
border.rgba = #000000
; enable mouse clickspots if true, disable if false (use SHIFT to override)

usemouse = true
; left mouse button on the screen toggles popup window if true (requires SHIFT+left mouse button).
popleft = false
; right mouse button on the screen toggles popup window if true (requires XP11.1).
popright = true

Which makes me wonder for those for which the hack is working:

if you set popleft = true, and you depress the SHIFT key on the keyboard while triggering on the VR controller, does it toggle the popup window?

usemouse = true is what is in the aircraft's GTN file.

It looks like this thread kinda died... Jean-Luc, where do we stand for panel integrated GTN usage?

@Piper5299X Hi, yes this thread is dying because since then we've released v2.5.12 with official support for VR controllers on the touch screen, like described in the release notes:

Thank you for your reply. I had missed this update. I'm not sure how, but I see that this update is from a year ago???

@Piper5299X the discussion is old, the update isn't. When you get the RXP update notification in Windows, each version release date is shown in the release notes. You may also manually open your browser to the release notes page, I let you explore our website for the RSS feeds information.
