August 17, 200619 yr It's probably too soon to be asking, but does anyone know which airports and cities will be "detailed"? As well, will Toronto finally be updated to take into account the construction of the new terminal (T1 and Infield) and the move of the cargo facilities to the infield? If anyone knows, I'd love an answer. Thanks!Bill
August 17, 200619 yr I've already started a thread on this. Never got an answer...Hope you fare better than me on this one... :-) FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

August 18, 200619 yr Let's try this again shall we:"does anyone know which airports and cities will be "detailed"?" FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
August 18, 200619 yr I can think of a few, but what is the total list of highly detailed airports and cities in FS9?RH
August 18, 200619 yr The 1200 was from flightsim.com:"FSX will contain 24,000 airports internationally with 1200 being highly detailed due to popularity."http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?$=main/feature/fsx1.htmWhat that means is anyones guess. :) Bernard
August 18, 200619 yr Well I hope 1200 is the answer there. That sure sounds better than 45 airports. So what is it really? There seems to be 2 answers.
August 18, 200619 yr I might be wrong as well, but from what I remember from the articles I have read, the number 1200 people are refering to had to do with gated Airports. There are 1200 airports with gates. Maybe Tdragger can elaborate on the numbers that has been discussed in this thread.:-wave :DI have not seen any list reagarding what airports will be very detailed, but I have read that there will be "popular" airports (whatever that means) that will be on this list.:-) Raymond Bergseng ENGM ________________________________ Asus P6T WS Professional, Intel Core i7 980X 3.33GHz (OC to 3.8), Zalman CNPS9700 NT CPU cooler, 12 GB OCZ Platinum XTC DDR3 1600MHz, EVGA GeForce GTX 580 "Superclocked Edition" 797MHz 1536MB, M-Audio Fast Track Ultra external USB soundcard, WD VelociRaptor 300GB SATA discs, Cooler Master Stacker nVidia Edition w/850W PSU, Dell UltraSharp 24" LCD, Windows 7 Ultimate x64, Logitech Ultra X Premium Keyboard, MX 518, Saitek Yoke and Rudder.
August 18, 200619 yr Any idea if airports like KSNA or KSAN will be detailed this time around? I kinda would like KSAN because there is already KSNA scenery that is freeware in the library. KSAN hasn't ever been detailed in freeware versions. Fly Tampa's KSAN is the only detailed one so far. Both however would still be great.
August 18, 200619 yr Correct. 1200-ish with gates and moving jetways but with generic buildings. The smaller number are the ones with specifically modelled buildings.

September 14, 200619 yr There are 123 detailed areas listed in the FSX scenery folders. No way to know for sure if they are airports or cities without visiting them. Some like Indianapolis, Knoxville, TN and San Antonio have very small files - 100-300 KB - which would be only a few buildings - not an entire airport. I'd expect the Alamo in San Antonio. Some like Chelan, MortonWA and OahuTL are probably thermals for glider flying. Some with a lot more free time than me is going to have to sit down and look at each in detail. The numbers on the FSX website say 83 detailed cities and airports - so that will leave about 37 moderately enhanced cities or airports. But also remember that airports like Geneva have been signficantly upgraded with its round satellite terminals - so even if it is not a detailed airport - it is still one heck of a lotbetter than FS2004.Toronto Pearson has a lot of custom buildings - there is a commuter terminal between 15R/33L and 15L/33R - what looks like an ACA maintenance hanger and another parking area near a tall block like building - all between the 15/33 runways. There is also a construction area on the east end of that center area near 06L/24R.There are three cargo spots near the takeoff end of Rwy 05 and one near the L shaped building near the other end of the same runway. Everyone has to remember - if the runways or buildings or new areas were not COMPLETE by April 2005 - it will most likely not be in FSX.
