... has died.  Capt. Mariner was the first woman to fly a tactical fighter jet.  There were numerous firsts in her life and career.  Thank you Capt. Mariner for your service and leadership, and thoughts are with your family and friends during this difficult time.

A great woman and real tribute to our armed services. 

I would say "Rest in Peace", but living at the pace that she did, I doubt if there will be much "resting" now. She's probably busy cutting holes in the clouds.
