I am not sure what to think of the translucent 2D panel... I mean.. how is this relating to flight simulation, there is no real translucent panel IRL that I know of... This feature compensates for the lack of awareness when using a screen as opposed to real life. Not totally ideal but a welcome feature none the less.

I can see the advantage of it when landing and taking off especially with LDS 767 because the 2d panel is much smoother than the 3d panel.I find it much easier to track the localiser and glidescope with the 2d panel. So to be able to see the runway on final approach thru the translucent 2d panel would be nice!I just hope the translucency can be toggled on and off via a hotkey.

is a feature that X-Plane has had for a long time now.Once you have used it, it makes total sense and really adds to situational awareness, just like another poster commented,Cheers,bt
