@rjfry I agree Rex Worldwide airports HD is a great product, it unfortunately only replaces textures on airport buildings and models. I believe the OP's product was a full texture replacement for all autogen textures in the simulator.

What about it? Also I have read criticism that it reduces the variety in default airport textures somewhat.

I am not promoting anything but there is a product with HD included already.

The HD Autogen Buildings include every building which is not an airport building (apart from city specific modelling)

HD just means high definition. And in the context of flight simulator it is completely meaningless as it has no accepted definition; having 4096 textures does not make something high definition because if you cover the same area with 4 of 1024 textures you get identical definition. What matters is pixel density, so the measurement unit is something like pixels per centimetre/metre or dots per inch (DPI).

In the context of these texture replacement products (and quite a few others) they typically do at least double the pixel density by covering the same area with the next texture size up, so I suppose it is fair to say they are "higher definition [than default"].
