Fortunately>the solution is very simple so post the problem and we'll be>on it :-)>>Cheers,Thanks, the problem is me, not FS, not RC, I just could not get my plane to hold altitude. Normally I can but I think it's just a case of trying too hard. Thanks very much for chiming in and trying to assist, I know about TA's and stuff, but for some dumb reason I was chasing the needle all over the sky. For whatever reason if a plane doesn't have altitude hold I just can't seem to get it trimmed out right, so end up fighting it every step of the way. Not so bad in say a DC3 but in a Piper Archer or a Diamond Katana as it was then it suddenly becomes a big issue. It was a windy day in the SFO area too. It's why I took a sabbatical, I guess I just been flying too much and trying too hard.
June 1, 200620 yr Moderator Hi John,Sounds like you're hand flying. If so you might want to increase the deviation limits under General. RC4 is aimed at IFR flights where an autopilot would normally be used.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). June 1, 200620 yr Yup, that's my problem alright, I can't hand fly for toffee, unless it's the MAAM Sim Dakota.
June 1, 200620 yr Hi,The ACES bloggers have made it very clear that EVERYTHING you have seen up to this point - except the side by side comparison of the two water shots (a lake next to some mountains) - has been in XP and DX9. And they hinted that that comparison shot was probably not actually taken using DX10, but was edited to show what the potential difference might look like (I think they copied in a shot of some real water).Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page

June 3, 200620 yr But Daniel, what if the majority of your addons are ready for FSX when it is released? From what I understand things are being done differently this time around in terms of the SDK's, so we may not see the same issues as previous upgrades...That's not the only problem. It's a matter of hardware. I can run FS9 decently after all these years... Not about to migrate entirely to FSX and suffer craptastic frames for some new features. If FSX turns out to be good on the FPS, and FSX-optimized aircraft are released in a timely manner, I'll use both. There's no reason to have only 1 version of FS on the hard drive if they both fit.As I said, I am in absolutely no rush. Excited only for ONE feature, and that's the alpha actually reflecting something. Everything else will be a plus. :)Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpgMember of SJU Photography.
