Question For MSFT

Featured Replies

Something someone mentioned in another post made me think hmmm.Do the MSFT folk prefer the more open approach that's been taken for this release, or the more keep-it-secret-so-we-can-spring-it approach taken previously?

I'm sure that what has been released thus far to the public is just the tip of the iceberg. I'm sure there are many secrets that await our discovery!Owen

Oh I'm sure. But it used to be we heard practically nothing until it was almost ready for release.

>Something someone mentioned in another post made me think>hmmm.>>Do the MSFT folk prefer the more open approach that's been>taken for this release, or the more>keep-it-secret-so-we-can-spring-it approach taken previously?Well... we've actaully been pretty open with the folks on the Beta program over the last two release cycles (they can't confirm that, but it's true), so this doesn't feel that different. I generally prefer the more open approach.Cheers,Jason

I agree, even though the waiting is killing me as the more I know the worse it gets.Despite some of the negativity I hope the sharing of information continues as I believe most readers and posters are eagerly awaiting the details and the release, and they are thoroughly enjoying the deluge of information this release.Ian.

I think the openness will add to sales; the openness is great, and it makes me tell all my friends to buy FSX...Rhett

I doubt it. People who congregate into the places these more open discussions take place are people who don't need to be pulled into buying the product anyway.
