They're reasonable grievances to have. Of course the product should work and have sufficient installation instructions. I never took issue with those points. I've already said as much.

I'm not standing up for RealityXP, I'm standing up for small business everywhere that have to put up with this kind of "I paid you $50 for this specialist product so now you should answer your phone at 3 am and have an engineer at my site in 30 minutes". You asked why you hadn't got a reply within an hour, I explained why that was unlikely and unrealistic to expect. If you felt it was "VERY expensive" why buy it to start with? Anyways, I'm bowing out of this before I say something I regret.

I understand your perspective ckyliu. I didn't look at it that way.
I might have spoken to quickly out of frustration. I just hope we can get it fixed somehow.
Because I really want to enjoy this product together with the realsimgear GTN750 bezel.
Lets hope it turns out well.

No hard feelings toward anyone her, my apologies.

I will second that.   Frustration can escalate things quickly, I was not being reasonable expecting a 1 hr turnaround at 12am, i was just really worn out from troubleshooting.

Believe me. We have all been there and understand just what frustration can be.  It's evidence that flight simming is a very valuable and rewarding activity.

Just purchased this. Ran the installer just installed for X plane 11. When it goes to download the trainer it says File Not Found. I have the latest installer as I just downloaded the web installer. And also checked it to make sure. Installer is Version 2.5.18.0. Windows 10. Xplane 11 only.

From what I can tell you cant download 2310 anymore. All I found was 2400 but not sure how that works if I install it seperate

I did download and install trainer version 2400. This did not work. In the rxp logs it says unknown trainer version. It would be nice to just have the 2310 download link that works.

Hi all...24 hours later for me...48, 72, 96+ hours for some SIM friends that I have seen posting here.  I still have a black screen on my GTN....and it is making me so sad 😞

I really really just want to play with my new toy...can someone please give me any advice on what I am doing wrong?  I don't want a refund...I want to use my awesome new plug-in.  Please help.

Please tell me what logs to post or anything else I can do to help the developers help me troubleshoot.  I'm so lost....I don't even know what a Garmin trainer install does or why I need it and I'm sure I messed up some piece of the whole install process.....please don't punish my ignorance 😉

The GTN 750 looks so awesome...I really just want to fly with it.......I think I might just work on my actual pilot license and buy a real GTN 750 just to speed the troubleshooting process up 🙂  Please please please developers...I am begging for your help.......it is Friday night and there are so many virtual passengers sitting in the terminal waiting to get home for the 4th of July....don't let them miss out on this wonderful holiday with their family.... 'Merica!!!

Anxiously waiting for your response,

Steve

I don't know for sure if this is your issue, but make sure that XPlane is not running in the background, that solved my issue when installing

I don't want to break your spirit but I don't expect support in the weekend.
I assume we're gonna have to wait it out untill Monday. As you know I'm in a similar position so I know how it feels if you can't get your candy open. But it is what it is I think. Monday life will be better.

Stay strong in there. In the end it's only a sim.

I finally fixed my issue where it couldn't install the addon. BUT just like you it now gives me a broken link so I still can't use it. We need http://download.garmin.com/software/GarminTrainerSetup_2310.exe which is no longer available. I installed the newest version manually but off course with my luck? That ain't working...

Awaiting support myself too.

Hello,

I just reinstalled (new SSD-harddrive) Windows, Xplane 11 and GTN 750.

Windows is on  C-drive and Xplane is on D-drive.
Also, the trainers are on C-drive as well as the Reality XP folder with the DLLs , the plugin is obviously on the D-drive within the Xplane directory..

Is that why I am getting black screen?

I believe we are 'all' suffering the same problem were the GTN trainer is a version not supported yet by the RXP GPS. While we can't find a download for the supported version since Garmin took it offline. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, I screwed up and, along with upgrading RXP, installed the 2.4.0.0 Garmin Trainer package which has the 6.62 GTN750. I'm also dead in the water. Will try to find the older installer. Dang it! I can't blame RXP, the  6.62 came out June 19. I installed in hopes of having newer nav data. Bad idea.

Sh** I found the 2.3.1 installer and when I fired it up, it forced itself to update to 2.4.1. Now I'm gonna need to go to my system backup and manually replace the trainer info in Program Data and Program Files (x86)... wish me luck.

You can find the old trainer and it will work with it. It turns out that I managed AGAIN to reinstall my system during a trainer update.

It was just too unreal to be true, but thats the deal.

Trainer 6211 works but it will install an old database from 2016.

Copy the database and save it. Install 6211 and then replace the database….
