I never in real life use the auto pilot to fly the approah after leaving the faf

You should try it some time if you have the chance - it's pretty impressive

it is safer and easier to fly inbound manually

Not necessarily

still have a working ADF too

Yep me too - I still remain current in RL for NDB approaches

I chose another airport and flew the ILS, the needle stayed centered.... so it must be in the program.....  applied the technique mentioned in this forum earlier, fly to the faf, then use the heading bug and fly the approach, worked pretty neat on the sim..... unfortunately the data base in my REP GNS 530 was not up todate, flew the approach per the plates on Forflight, the approach on the sim was the old approach when they still had a NDB...... is it possible to upgrade from the actual data updates for Garmin GNS 430, I have a friend who has the updates he uses in his plane, thought maybe one of the older plug in cards could be used after removing the data, or there an easier way?

Yes, if you have access to real world navdata, you can replace the Garmin "worldwide.bin" file..

If all you need is US data (not WW), send me a PM with your email address.
