  1. Jeroen, You have a new message. bytes
  2. For those sim pilots that want to enjoy total emission in flying a Super King Air B200 sim, the Flight 1 B200 provides that within the realm of an “Entertainment” category sim. This is accomplished with most of the systems being operational. A code rewrite now provides full Beta function during taxing – a first for King Air sims to date. Not unlike a RW light twin with light systems, i.e. no cabin pressurization, oxygen system, working deice/anti-ice, etc., the more complex RW King Air Class requires more support. Flight 1’s development team is online daily providing support for the Flight 1 B200 and providing answers and corrective actions within the possibility of the FSX SDK and as an "Entertainment" category sim. Are you seeing that elsewhere for King Air sims? Russ
  3. Thanks, Ray. That's what I needed. Russ
  4. Hi Ray, Your posts have been most useful to me. When I went on the ATT voice purchase site, I did encounter this statement: "NOTE: You must also have the Mike & Crystal voices because this edition contains the AT&T Natural Voices Engine required to run all voices." Is this Voices Engine something that needs to be installed into the VOXATC program or Windows? Also is there anything like this needed to run the Cepstral voices as well? Thanks, Russ
  5. The soon to be released Flight 1 King Air B200 will have full active Beta (Ground Fine position) as well RW startup. Russ
  6. Very interesting. It would be nice to have. Think about sending the question to Tech Support. Russ
  7. Thanks for the additional core information. So appreciate your talents. Russ
  8. Andy, please post the similar retrofit for the C90B. Really like your cure for a large FPS problem. Thanks, Russ
  9. The "B" is upside down. Russ
  10. My thanks, HawkDsl. Excellent reply, easy to understand. bytes
  11. HawkDsl, would you please advise how the sound problem can be fixed. Many here would really appreciate that. Thanks, bytes
  12. Hi John, Thanks, and glad DBS has not shut down. Russ
  13. Anyone know the status of the DBS Studio web site as of 9/19/12? Unable to pull it up for awhile. Russ
  14. fppilot, you have a PM. Russ
  15. A new sound update for the C90B released today on Avsim.com titled sound_c90_king_air.zip Have not tried this as at work now. The co-pilot program "It's Your Plane" has interfaced the C90B for both VFR and IFR co-pilot assistance in all flight modes. Some of the checklist items are not right, but otherwise a great program. The C90B is a rather complex aircraft to fly in heavy IMC IFR single pilot if one is not well versed in its operations making this program great for sim pilots just getting involved with the plane. Russ
  16. Thanks to all for the information. Great to be able to find out about such an expensive quardrant before making a purchase. Russ
  17. Andy, thanks for the information. Your reference to the FADEC system, is that pure jets or does it include turboprops as well? After calibration, were you able to have full reverse available? Your help is most appreciated. Russ
  18. Found Elite Simulation Solutions offering a custom King Air Quadrant as a standalone unit. The description says it has a detent at the idle position and calibration to allow full travel into reverse. From the picture it appears there is a Ground Fine range as well. The calibration is done through their software and is done in 3 easy steps of moving the levers and hitting the Set button. They have a Loan Officer available to help setup a 5 year payment plan. Anyone with experience in using this quadrant? Take a look here: https://www.flyelite.com/shop/king-air-b200-throttle-quadrant/ Russ
  19. Dave, Your comments are most interesting on setting the minimum_on_ground_beta to a negative value. What value did you set it to be? Is what you are hearing then the rmpREV.wav file (true Beta sound) or are you getting that file mixed with the whine file + (the full reverse position sound)? Any chance the Majestic Dash-8's independent sound engine gauge could be ported to the C90B? Russ
  20. Great, ArezOne! I will send you a PM tomorrow AM to get us stared. You have made my day. Russ
  21. ArezOne, I am sure there are those present on the forum that would be open to providing any assistance to getting a Service Pack together for your new C90B sound pack. Please let us know how we can be of help to you. My files can be sent to you on a CD. Your program has many positive improvements and could be made to be the first complete C90B sound pack. I want to work with you to make that happen. Russ
  22. No Beta sound at all and the flap sound is not even close. No Reverse sounds noted. The gear sound is much closer than Carenado's version. No one yet can do Beta sound for the C90B. The Beta sound files are there in the Carenado sound folder, but they are labeled xrmpRev.wav and rmpRev.wav with the cfg using them only when in reverse where they are even then drowned out by the turbine whine sound. I have HD Beta, flaps, gear and reverse sound files recorded in a C90B available if there is someone that can mod the Carenado cfg file. Hoping to hear from someone. Russ
  23. Kurt, while your expertise in flying the C90B IFR is easy to see, writing a tutorial about it making for easy understanding and keeping it concise is not always easy to do. The resulting balance of both is most impressive.Thank you for providing this to the C90B sim community. Russ
  24. Trevor, please add that the Beta sound has disappeared altogether after SP-1. With the SP-1 correction to the power levers position at idle now at flight idle, there is no sound change until the power levers are well into reverse and then comes the odd gravel rock sound referred to by others on the forum. Thanks for your keeping all this together. Russ.
  25. Brett, my thanks for solving this lighting problem as doing things like night full CAT III landings IMC can now be better achieved. Russ
