I just realized that there are two Tahiti and Society islands sceneries out there, both payware, both looking good. One is by Flightscene, over at Simmarket, the other is by FlightSimJewels, the same group that made the very ncie freeware Hawaii scenery. I have the FlightScene one, but am wondering how it compares to the FlightSimJewels scenery? These are not the same sceneries, right? The two products look similar, but I'm wondering which one is the better one. The FlightSimJewels version is currently discounted some 40% it seems, so if you guys think it's an improvement over the FlightScene one, I may get it. The FlightScene scenery is very nice, but I wasn't too impressed with Papeete and NTAA and it'd be nice to have a slightly higher fidelity version of it.

I don't know the FlightScene scenery but I doubt, that the FlightsimJewels version of NTAA would be any improvement. It is REALLY basic and close to default. The photoscenery and autogen is ok but the airport really isn't something to write home about. I doubt it is worth for you to change.

That's a clear opinion, thanks! I guess I might stick with what I have.

As owner of the two addons and considering it took years for the small development team of each product in charge to deliver a final product, I saw evolution of the two addons. It's really hard to choose one. And most of the time, I'm confuse by one and the other. IMHO and in short,

• The few-weeks-released v1 of FSJ (Flight Sim Jewels) has less fancy airports rendition than the FlightScene.
• The FSJ overall colors of photorealistic textures are too much pink-ish (personal opinion)
• FlightScene setup from previous build can really make a mess in your configuration (Animan.exe addon in EXE.XML, sometimes is used to reset my scenery.cfg)

As far as I remembered, the main point was the airport rendition that make me stay with the Flightscene...

Up until a few days ago I was successfully using AS's Tahiti X in P3D v4.5. FSJ's version is a huge step forward and it's only going to get better.

The dev has shown that he cares about his sceneries and is planning to continue to improve them. There's is a payware version of NTAA, maybe its worth checking out.

Any chance of screen shots of FSJ's NTAA airport? It's concerning to me that the product page stays far away from the airport itself in its previews.

I've always been surprised at how inaccurate past renditions of Faa'a have been in terms of the buildings and terminal. 

Can you imagine what FlyTampa could do with this airport:

It can definitely use an update  from a top tier dev, but IMO this scenery is more about the islands and not the main airport.
