August 27, 20196 yr Author Hello all, I have not forgotten you at all... Just been busy. Now for the latest update. The computer has been (up until yesterday) performing flawlessly. I have been unplugging the computer each and every time I turned it off, However, I tried on Sunday night (local) to leave it plugged in and turned on at the back only. Yesterday morning I turned it on and went back to the 00 error. I turned it off and hit reset and the on button simultaneously ... same thing. I repeated that two more times and on the second it went to a 10 error. I repeated that procedure two more times and it went to a 20 error. So I kept on doing that and went through the 62, 69, 99 and A2 errors in exactly the same way. I eventually got to the ASRock logo with "thinking, thinking" circle which locked up. so I carried on and eventually the computer restored to normal and all day yesterday after this long, drawn-out procedure, the computer is behaving normally again. This is now pointing to a combination of PSU and Motherboard. I am just wondering if there is a capacitor in the PSU which is draining to the point where it is not supplying sufficient power to the motherboard and the motherboard is not responding well. Thoughts???? Still no joy with borrowing a PSU Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. ASRock Taichi X570 CPU Ryzen 9 3900x (not yet overclocked). Do you have access to Amazon or an online computer store? If so, it's worth buying a PSU tester like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/DIGIFLEX-Power-Supply-Tester-Diagnose-Black/dp/B004IO5CT8/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=PSU+tester&qid=1566916606&s=gateway&sr=8-7. September 9, 20196 yr Author Hello to you all again, My final update for this problem. I eventually have solved this problem as I managed to get hold of a power supply. Mine was NOT faulty. It eventually turned out to be the Motherboard, which I will replace with a temporary one as soon as I can afford it. I am saving and planning on an extensive upgrade in late October (birthday pressie to me from me LOL) Just for your information, the new build will be GPU ... i9 9900k Motherboard ... ASRock Z390 Extreme 4 RAM .... Corsair 2 x 16gb 3200mhz I will retain my PSU (1200 watt), case, 3 x 250gb SSD, 1 x 1tb SSD (Drive C) and 3 x 2tb HDD, GTX 1080ti and will also retain my 40inch LED 1080p TV and 32inch 1080p LED TV (second monitor) and all my Saitek controllers. I am ordering hall effect sensors from Norman and will also adopt either the rubber band or springs/zip ties mod for the yoke, which hopefully will remove the XPlane 11 jackrabbit on flare and touchdown. All up cost is near as word not allowed to AUD 2000.00 here in Indonesia. This is somewhat of a change of plan as I was going to retain everything and just upgrade to a Pimax 5k XR oled VR system, although the i7 2600k was a little weak. but is currently oc'd to 4.7. Amazingly, the cost is remarkably similar Pimax AUD999 + controllers AUD380 Plus Indonesian TAXES AUD450.00. Obviously this will have to wait unless I can find a sugar daddy who is interested in a lethargic 70 year old toy boy. LOL Anyway guys, I want to end this with a big "thank you" to you all for your help and suggestions. Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System. Motherboard. September 9, 20196 yr Hey I'm in Thailand and power cuts happen here occasionally also You really need an UPS they are not that expensive. It will solve your future problems ZORAN
September 10, 20196 yr Author zmak, If you go through this post, you will note that I have already blown up two UPS devices and I am on my third which cost me around AUD1000. I have also given up on anti-surge products as I have had too many to count and, to the point that they almost became a daily household budget item. The problems here stem from almost daily brownouts where really only the lights function and sometimes twice or more, daily power failures. All of these problems come from a really ancient infrastructure, most of which was installed by the Dutch before independence and only maintained (I use the word loosely) since then. Another example of fine Indonesian organisation and updating prowess is the internet. I live in a village just outside of Blitar in East Java. Rejotangan, the village, is earmarked for fibre optic installation, and, to that end, four years ago, they laid a length of fibre optic cable (about 7 kilometers) in the village. The main distribution (Telkom) centre for Rejotongan is the city of Tulung Agung which is about thirty kilometers away. There is still no connection between Tulung Agung and Rejotongan, nor, does it appear, to be planned at this time. Enquiries are fruitless. Blitar, the closest major city, nine kilometers away, has full fibre optic services which (when they have any power, of course,) works very well. However, they are two seperate regions with little or no interconnection. In the same way, Telkom has two branches. One is the landline/internet services and the other is the mobile phone network. you cannot call the landline service from a mobile phone and vice versa. (I am talking about Head) Offices and service centres here) As you can imagine, this is incredibly convenient if one or the other has a problem. I have no idea where they get their ideas of efficiency, but, it is hard to imagine that, even the formation of a committee, could make some of these systems slower or less efficient. The sale of alcohol (below 5%) ... read basically beer only ... here is legal, but most of the local districts have banned the sale of alcohol based on religious beliefs. The net result of that is that the prices have almost doubled. This is of course attributed to the fact that probably 95% of sales are illicit with very few legal distribution points (my closest is Surabaya ((five hours drive each way)) where the prices are normal. I do not know what the precise effects this system has on Beer Bintang (Great brew) which is owned by Heinekin which is owned by ???? but they have been remarkably silent. So, guys and girls, you have some of the aspects of living and loving in Indonesia. I would not trade it for the world but I really would like to see some "Fixes" This is not a rant by any means and I am only portraying facts as I see them. Regards Tony Tony Chilcott. My System.
