August 23, 20196 yr Pretty much sucks as that area is known for some very large Great White sharks. Thank goodness they both survived. Sorry he lost his plane though. Thank you. As one shark asked another, “Shall we go out to eat?”, the other replied “No, we’re having dinner delivered shortly...” The couple were very lucky indeed. Excellent job of ditching by the pilot, and very fortunate that his friend was flying nearby and able to summon help immediately. August 24, 20196 yr Even with his friend nearby circling, it took Coast Guard 30 minutes to rescue them. They looked like they were very, very cold from that long in the water. Glad it worked out, but you'd never catch me flying over open water when I pulled 5-6 sumps of particles from the fuel tanks earlier (like this guy did)....
