September 28, 20196 yr Commercial Member I've just updated UGCX to V1.1. If you find that the UGCX menu no longer opens out of the blue, it's because you don't have V1.1. You need Version 1.1 to use UGCX. See the V1.1 Change Log in the pinned thread! B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
September 29, 20196 yr Really ? Why are you forcing customers to use your very last version ? What if I install v1.2 and I find something wrong, a bug which needs to be adressed. Meanwhile, I can't use the product I paid for ?
September 29, 20196 yr Like there is now, Version 1.2 is not usable for PMDG aircraft, because it never stops pushing. I am sure you will fix it, but for now i have a non working program. This would have bin solved by using the older version, until you fix it. besides that the update is not user friendly. i hope you find a more comfortable solution for future updates. September 29, 20196 yr Commercial Member Hey JARVG, I understand, and recognize that we made a mistake and don't worry we are trying to fix it as quick as possible. There are many factors that comes to play: Testing it a lot with many users, trying to solve as many critical bugs as possible, the pressure to release it quickly, also new bugs coming in last minute prior releasing the hot fix, etc. I'm not blaming anyone else, but just saying, we are humans too...hehehe . We are trying to keep a balance between all those factors to deliver quick and being sure it's bugs free, but, yeah, you are completely right, we screwed it up, now we are fixing the mess. About a new update method, I think we can find it out, that part would involve more Bryan in taking the decision of which method to follow. Edited September 29, 20196 yr by Manuel82
September 29, 20196 yr thnx for your fast reply Manuel, Please dont get me wrong, I do understand the difficulties of programming and all the different kind of computers. I do understand that bugs are not easy to prevent. I am just saying that if i had a chance to roll back to the older version it wouldn't have bin a problem. regards Jos van Grevenstein 21 NM north of EHAM
September 29, 20196 yr Commercial Member Don't worry, yes, I understand. Maybe Bryan would come up with a possible solution in the future. This may take up some analysis of our side. At this point, I would be giving the microphone to Bryan, to follow up on this topic.
