October 4, 20196 yr Let me know if I missed something but haven't heard allot about the AI engine and hopefully an improved ATC system. Heard allot about scenery but being able to populate the sim with realistic airliner traffic (Ultimate Traffic) and GA traffic as add-ons come out is a must for any successor to FS. A great default ATC system or something that can be expanded is key as well. Again let me know if I missed something. October 4, 20196 yr Personally, I can not imagine that this simulator comes out without ATC! No idea if it will be better than FSX but I think it will not be any worse! As far as AI air traffic is concerned, I think that it will be limited in the beginning! Allready to avoid spoiling the 3rd party company's business later on!
October 4, 20196 yr The AI system is already there in some form. It was said to be turned off for the event because it isn't done. Their goal is to use live, real-time traffic. ATC will almost certainly be there in some form on launch. Edited October 4, 20196 yr by bonchie
October 4, 20196 yr I'm willing to bet that ATC will be included. I just hope that they at least fix the vectoring bugs and late altitude clearances. As SIDS and STARS are included in the sim (at least that's what I read on the post here at AVSIM entitled "What We Know"), I'm hopeful that ATC will recognize these and either assign them based on the takeoff/landing runway, or at least let the pilot select them.
