UGCX doing Nothing

Featured Replies

Ok, i have loved the FS2 products and use them all the time.  This one. . . this one does not work.  Installed fine, menus show up but when I press 1 to start the push-back, select 2 to use compute defined push back route, tug shows up and the ground crew, BUT they never do anything, tug sits there and doesn't move and the ground crew just stand around.  Disappointed!

Hey jport1,

That's not normal, can you post the LOG file?, if it's big file, try zipping it.

Cheers,

Manuel

Silly question .. have you opened the menu and told the ground crew you have released the parking brakes?

Yes.  Tug moves forward a short distance after allegedly inserting the pin, before stopping again and there they stay.

Ok, Ive tested this further and it works fine with the Maddog X but not with the Majestic Q400 which I was using when I posted the above.  Suggest this is added to the PMDG ones also?

We can't currently pushback the Majestic Dash 8.

We can pushback every other plane but the Dash 8.

The reason is because we inject speed into the aircraft.  We're not just slewing it around.

The Dash 8 uses its own very unique air file that no other FS planes uses.  It's really a different animal how they programmed it.

Before anyone says it, we're aware that the Dash 8 developer has a variable we can set to unfreeze the plane.

But that doesn't work with our system.

In a future update, we're going to push the Dash 8 back using a different method.

We know what the method is, it's just a matter of slotting it in to our update schedule.

Well, I cannot tell you how impressed I am that we got it back performing late last evening thanks to Bryan who kept me up after my bedtime to reinstall UGCX and it is working like a champ.  Of course, not unlike the many other FS2Crew products installed on my system. "Another product well developed and incredibly supported."

Thanks Bryan and team!
