FSX Ai aircraft sound

Featured Replies

do the ai aircraft have a better takeoff and landing sounds than FS9. or we going to need FS hotseat?

I tried the CRJ /approach landing mission in the demo.AS you land there is a jet waiting to depart, I turned of the runway and waited to hear what the AI sounds like.IT sounds stunning... IMO its far ahead of what FS Hotseat does in regard to AI sounds in fs2004.John

Yes aircraft now have their own sound folder, so they improved sounds. This will also mean customisable sounds to further improve them :D

i hope they have better startup engines sounds

The key here in FSX is that each individual aircraft can have it's own sounds totally customizable. You no longer are stuck with one set of sounds for large jet aircraft, one set for turbo props, one set for piston engine aircraft.A DC-6 can sound like a DC-6, not a C-172.The CRJ has 28 AI only sound files, and access to it's regular UI 69 sound files. There is a complete SDK on sound - and alot of it is on AI sound.

thanks i just download the beta

You guys want to hear some awesome sounds - try the Beaver or Goose in exterior view, and rotate around the aircraft. It is absolutely incredible on an adequate 5.1 surround sound system. Oh, and make sure you have a pretty good subwoofer. ;)Best,Owen
