SODE simwings instructions?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone with Aerosoft/Simwings that understand the readme file for updating scenerys with SODE?

Seems straight forward copy SODE subfolder from there website to your ecosystem/Aerosoft/ simwings Airport add-on folder and run SODE.on bat but nothing installs. Files not found it says. What is wrong?

Thanks Michael Moe

There are two possible reasons. Either you don't have SODE elements (Files and SimObjects folder with their contents) in SODE folder, or the SODE folder itself is placed in a wrong place and can't locate the appropriate 'Scenery' folder where it needs to do modifications.

Also make sure that you actually have SODE base pack installed.

I dont understand. There is a zip file for EGLL proff. on there website. Inside that there is those 2 folders you describe. Then the readme says i should put them under my EGLL main installation  folder and run the on.bat

I have 1.6.4 SODE working with alot other airports

Thanks Michael Moe

Put SODE folder from the zip inside Heathrow folder. And go into that SODE folder and run batch file. That's it.

Don't run the batch file as an administrator

Edit the bat file, look at what it is doing, and do the steps yourself.

That could be very confusing to ones that are not very tech literate.

Could very well work. Some batch jobs like to be ran as admin, others don't. Try both ways, it might work.

Do you copy the complete SODE folder from the zip or just the Subfolders of the SODE folder? After copying the SODE folder your Add-On Structure should look something like this:

blabla\Heathrow\Effects

blabla\Heathrow\Scenery

blabla\Heathrow\SODE\Files

blabla\Heathrow\SODE\SimObjects

blabla\Heathrow\Texture

The structure ist important since the script contains hard wired target directories.

Could you please post the complete output of the cmd window. "0 files copied" means the script doesn't find the source files OR it doesn't find the target directories.
