November 6, 20196 yr I have the email with the REXdownloader and serial #'s but am missing the main files to install? Clicking the downloader does nothing as it's blank? Thanks! Chris Camp
November 6, 20196 yr Where did you buy it? Normally full installers are available where add-on was purchased. MSFS
November 6, 20196 yr Author I managed to get the installer to load but it will not Validate my license key oddly...? Chris Camp
November 6, 20196 yr Commercial Member I would re-download it, and be sure to unzip with 7-Zip ONLY. If you have further issues, the very best place to get help is always with the developer who made the product. REX support is done via a Support Ticket (see https://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/index.php?/announcement/72-please-read-major-changes-to-the-support-forum/) or via their Discord Server (text and voice, and believe me, that's far better and faster than forums are. I don't have a link to their Discord Server, but I'm sure it's easily found via Google. Best wishes. You select the product you bought from the drop down box then 2 new options appear (Full version or service pack...). 2. You choose the full version options since it's your first install and another field appears (license) 3. Copy paste your license and it should bring up the files (links) to download after validation. There could be 2 problems why it could go wrong: a) You choosed the wrong purchased software; b) you somehow enter the wrong / incomplete serial Gerald K. - Germany AMD 7800x3D / ASUS ROG X670E-Gaming / ASUS Strix RTX 3090 OC / 64 Gb RAM GSKILL. Oddly I purchased EF at the exact same time and am correctly inputting the separate serial number and it just won’t validate!!!! Arrrghhh!!! Re-downloading the installer resetting everything and restarting my PC has been of no help. Support ticket sent and waiting the reply. Not having postable proper REX support forums is extremely frustrating and their live chat is always OFFLINE EST here in the USA! I swear REX support is the most frustrating out off all the products I’ve ever purchased for FSX and Prepar3d...!!!! . Edited November 7, 20196 yr by Kilo60 Chris Camp
November 7, 20196 yr Not sure if this will help you but i had an issue installing Rex EF. It would 'take' my license but didn't seem to actually apply it or save it. None of the options would save either and it overall didnt work. It seemed the SQL local DB did not install properly. I uninstalled EF and SQL Local DB. Installed the SQL local from this forum post: (https://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/index.php?/topic/53327-installer-from-simmarket-does-not-work/) Then I reinstalled EF skipping the SQL part. Since then all seems to be working properly. Maybe itll help while you wait for REX support.
