December 4, 20196 yr How do I fix elevation issues within the sim? I have only noticed this in two airports since updating to 4.5 (the default airport and Fly Tampa KBUF). Last night I tried to fly out of KBUF and picked a gate to fly out of. Once the sim loaded, all of the planes were parked rear facing the terminal and then when I went to taxi, there were small “canyons” for lack of better terms in the alley and taxiways. I use all of the Orbx stuff except vector. Any idea how to fix this? I would assume it is at other airports but not sure which specifically until I fly to one. December 4, 20196 yr Do you have any other KBUF scenery / AFCAD installed? How about any mesh product for that area? dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library

December 5, 20196 yr I do not use P3D or Fly Tampa KBUL so this is just an assumption based on FSX which is similar in a lot of ways. With FSX, when a freeware or payware airport is added to the sim and the elevation is different from the default elevation you may get the issue you are experiencing. The reason why this happens is because the default elevation data has to be overwritten with a file for that airport. For example, I checked KBUF on Skyvector and the elevation is 726 feet. When I load KBUF in FSX the elevation is 691 feet. This is a difference of 35 feet. For this reason a new elevation file would have to be created. If Fly Tampa used the actual elevation instead of the default elevation, a filed would have been installed for this elevation correction. You mentioned that you updated P3D to version 4.5. I am wondering if this update deleted an elevation file that FlyTampa installed? I would try reinstalling FlyTampa KBUF and sees what happens. Also you may have to check any other add on airports and see if this problem occurs. If it does not work let me know and I will see if I can help you further. Cheers, John Cottreau Specs: black box thingy with spinning fans, lights and a bunch of wires that go to screens with pretty colours and a keyboard with many keys. The black box thingy also has a push button activated coffee cup holder. John C.
December 5, 20196 yr Go to ORBX Central, go to settings select the tab to the right (AEC) airport elevation correction and either add or remove the airport(s) in question and reload the sim. This should fix the problem.
