You have a nice system similar to mine which should run about anything with good FPS.  I always change the resolution for external view to about 60-70 and that gives me more fps and clarity.  Wing views are always at 30, the max.  It really provides a sense of realism.  There is something in my settings that is prohibiting higher fps and may have to go back to the default settings to try to find the culprit.  I don't like or use Autogen.  The payware airports I take off and land at are from FSDT/FlightBeam/or Drzewiecki Design (DD).  I like these airports as they provide all the Autogen and realism I need.  At FL380, I can't see Autogen.  If I flew with a General Aviation aircraft, then Autogen might provide some immersion.  I like MSE better than FTX/Orbx but FTX put in a lot of nice airports and only reason why I decided to install FTX SoCal.  Night lighting is not so good with MSE though but I fly only during the day time so not a major setback for me. 

The MSE 4X's stuff is nice but it really takes up a lot of storage space.  Because it uses so much space, I will be holding off buying any more unless it is the State of Virginia or SoCal/NoCal.  The rest of the MSE I own is good enough (and I own almost every US State).  I installed New Mexico mostly to see what it looked like and the better resolution is definitely nice but not nice enough for me to get every US State again in that resolution.

I had been monitoring those conversations but that was a long time ago and doubt it is on their list now.

Fortunately indeed. I'm sure many here have similar stories, but in about 1992-3 we needed additional storage space for scanned images in our printing operation...(2) 2GB HDD's - $4000.00. A family member was recently relating one of the companies he worked for years ago spent $32000.00 for 4K memory. My how far we've come!

Im referring to a message they posted around half October. Not sure what the last time is you looked, but I dare say it’s still on their list. In the end only time will tell, I guess, but I hope I’m right!

-I agree at high altitude its tough to beat MSE.

-I have the western half of the US already in MSE, I would purchase Oregon and Washington in the 4x but that's it, or I will need to build a server farm in my back yard. And I don't think my 14 solar panels will offset that cost in energy use. 🙂
