what do you consider a Tweak?For me, changing some value in the cfg that does not dumbdown would be a tweak.Moving sliders to the left or having no autogens...these are are not tweaks. Agree ? Disagree ?I wish there was a way to distinguish these two when reading the suggestions made by many helpful folks.So far, are there any real tweaks discoverd for FSX?:)Manny

Manny, I agree. Sliders and check boxes are "settings" not tweaks. Tweaks, IMHO, are things like converting file formats, change video registry settings, etc. Dave

Tweaking is an addictive behavior that often ends with the person afflicted with it to be able to justify the expense of upgrading their PC or possibly even buying a new one to run one piece of software such FSX. There is no other piece of software that will make the user engage in this type of behavior.He or she will not be able to just enjoy the sim for what it is and will spend many sleepless nights pouring over these posts looking for some magic tweak/adjustment that will make FSX run decently on their particular PC. I had it big time with FS2004 and had to give it up because of it. There are no known supports groups for this affliction. I've been FS free for 16 months now.Regards,Hans Groenewold

Changing the autogen tree description files to lose most of the variation, while retaining more than we currently have with FS9 is a seriously great tweak. Changing the rooftop variations the same way, also a great tweak. Resizing the trees, also great tweak. We need a few more of these and we will be on our way to maybe being able to add some after market junk to this sim. It needs new landclass badly! Those are tweaks and they are what we all will be doing a LOT of over the next few months in order to squeeze some playability out of this dog.Hornit
