February 25, 20206 yr They're extremely rare, I know... but using Pilotedge, one of the checkrides is to fly one of these. (the I-10) The lear doesn't seem to want to capture the BC (with nav mode armed.)- it could be a conflict with the GTN 750. Attempting the LOC-BC-A at KSMX... The autopilot panel will show armed and then "capture" the localizer course... but flight director will command the aircraft to go through the course... I'm not sure if I should be setting the back-course heading, or the front course (120)... Can someone else please check this too? February 25, 20206 yr Lol, but Bob, the new kinder, gentler check rides only evaluate flight management instead stick and rudder skills 🤣 Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/
February 26, 20206 yr Author HA! You're preaching to the choir.... I'm sure some 135 ops keep it around due to some aspen departure procedures. Honestly in my airline years I've yet to even fly it during a sim training event. But pilotedge... have a look at this.. https://www.pilotedge.net/pages/i10-rating Brendan R, KDXR PHNL KJFK Type rated: SF34 / DH8 (Q400) / DC9 717 MD-88/ B767 (CFI/II/MEI/ATP) Majestic Software Q400 Beta Team / Pilot Consultant / Twitter @violinvelocity

FWIW, the 135.297 check requires two of the four approaches be coupled. Joe - Chief Pilot & Lead Tester - Flysimware Simulation Software Captain - Gulfstream IV-SP ATP/CFI/AGI/EMB-505/LR-JET/G-IV

That was us having fun, 61.58s still require you to operate manually and with automation. Even when I was military we had those requirements. Auto go around was part of your proficiency beans. Evaluation of automation skills is a must, especially when you may find yourself in situations where you need it to free up brain cells. Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/
