I am worried about breaking FS9.Is it possible that the Garmin in FSX will break the Garmin in FS9?When FSX starts up does it go to the main tab screen like in FS9, or does it keep going to the UltraLight sitting on a runway somewhere?Also I was wondering what the frame rate is like when at KJFK?Thanks.

I've currently got both on the system and have no ill effects.On initial starup it will ask you to pick one of three options (something like: I'm new to FS, I know FS inside and out what's new, and I'm a real pilot, tell me about the simulator). Don't even ask about framerates in large cities. You won't like the answer. I'm gettin about 15 at most.:-)

I have a lot of money tied up in FS9 so I am very leary about getting FSX and starting all over again.Will just have to see how it goes for others.Most are reporting terrible frame rates, even on newer computers.Yikes!

Ditto on the above,Both work fine here and I'm getting 12 in large city airports at medium settings.....

No problems with both being installed...why would they conflict?Trust me, if FSX blew away my FS9 config with everything customized I'd simply quit the hobby because I'm not spending weeks reloading and customizing FS9 again and FSX is NOT replacing FS9 anytime in the next year or two.Ditto on the cities. Started at LGA...5.5 fps, stuttering and blurry mess.
