Dense forest

I want the forest to look dense all over the world. In the screenshot Tivat LYTV scenery.

In myPrepar3D.cfg :

AUTOGEN_VEGETATION_DENSITY=5
TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=6000

Slightly improves autogen forest density from France VFR. But the distance between the groups of trees remains.

The coniferous forest looks especially sad. It looks like an attack by the Colorado potato beetle, which ate everything.

I guess you can achieve the result by resizing the texture. It’s not important for me to have an exact scale.

For the sake of the density of the forest, I am ready to put up with fifty meter trees. Any ideas?

In jurisprudence, there is a principle - you look for the person who benefits.

It actually works fine in P3d4, but TD presently does not have it for sale. Existing FSX/P3d customers can still download the installer.

I believe it really depends on the vegetation add-on, not the cfg setting you mentioned.  I use that too as it adds more trees per cell but it does not condense those trees to be closer.

And there is a dense forest?

The density of the forest can only be increased further beyond the limits of the engine, if you would use more than a single tree texture at once. As a "tree" in P3D is nothing but an X-shaped flat texture, you can think of how difficult it is to make a texture showing more than one tree without ending up in at least some trees being shown as a flat 2D texture only. If I remember correctly, there were some attempts back in FSX/FS9 days, all ending up in extremely dense forest that looked good on a screenshot but totally silly when being in motion (due to the high amount of flat 2D tree textures).
