In fact, it is as stable right now, as .41 and that is with all my 'junk'.... Here is a taxi and take-off, climb through dense clouds...and I stay in FPS, at 29/30 . I always fluctuated in heavy cloud transitions...but with B3 Vulcan...nada! Also, no loss of ground clarity and texture focus.....so...what the heck was with B1?!?!?!? Enjoy... Looks spectecular ...can you post your Rig spec, please ???

Once installed as a plugin, you can adjust many parts of the graphics and one line, when you display the "Art" section, is Fog_Be_Gone. Here you can adjust the fog which is by default 1.00000. I keep mine on 0.10000 or 0.20000. Seems much more realistic to me. You can also set it for 0.00000 (Think Microsoft here), which eliminates all the fog. With 11.50 B, I find that the default clouds are much more tolerable when you take the "clouds_shadow" down a lot. You don't see the flickering shadows which are, in my opinion, distracting. You can set these to automatically activate on startup with these settings with a FlyWithLua script. John Did you make a LUA script for the fog be gone and if so would you share it? I am inept at this Lua stuff and therefore go into Data Refs every flight to change that number. Skip

Skip I can give you a much easier way if backing up and modifying a file that says ################################################################################ # # S T O P ! ! ! # # This is X-Plane 11’s settings file. This is NOT your preferences. You # should not edit this file, delete it, or modify it in any way or X-Plane # may stop working. If you do accidentally touch this file, simply re-run # the updater to get a new clean file. Your preferences are in # Output/preferences. # # This file contains low level tuning for X-Plane's rendering engine; it # is set up by Laminar Research before X-Plane ships. Please close this # file now!! # # # # # # Still here? You're a hacker? The documentation that follows is for # the use of LR's internal dev team. Something has changed somewhere down the line, which is welcome, as we can't tweak shaders now. I would like the ability to lower the haze further than you can, but it's been the same for years, so I see no hope, other than using data refs, or other mods. For the most part I like a fair bit of haze, so it not a major thing.

April 15, 20206 yr Here's what I get with my 100 vsby and 'fog_be_gone'. Orbx TE WA - High Noon - default Cirrus. Mt Baker, 120 miles distant is barely visible left of center.
